Recipe Manager — 5 minute start

Build a BOM/recipe, then manufacture or drive a work order. Updated Aug 2026.

Two recipe surfaces

Recipes / BOM (recipes.html) — classic recipe library plus Platform recipes (nested BOM, yield, scrap, routing, industry packs).
Manufacturing → BOM Editor — load/save/clone a product’s assembly BOM used when issuing materials.

Quick path (platform recipe)

1Open Recipes

Inventory / Manufacturing → Recipes/BOM. Sign in so API calls are authorised.

2Enable an industry pack (optional)

In the platform section, enable a pack (e.g. large manufacturing or QS lite) so labels and fields match your industry.

3Create platform recipe

Finished product, code/name, site mode (HQ or branch), batch size, yield %, scrap %. Add BOM lines (nested parents / phantoms allowed). Optional routing steps and work centres.

4Scale or explode

Use scale/explode to see material need for a target quantity before releasing a work order.

5Manufacture or create WO

Manufacturing dashboard → Manufacture from Recipe, or Work Orders → create WO linked to the platform recipe, then Pick → Release → Issue → Complete.

Stock tip

Materials must be available in the HQ or branch pool. Warehouse RAW should mirror that after receive. See the Warehousing Guide.
