Maintain FX rates for foreign bank accounts and GL codes. Financial statements stay in company base currency.

Multi-currency is off. Enable it under Settings → Currency & Regional (Professional+ plan).

Rate convention: enter units of base per 1 unit of foreign (e.g. USD→BWP rate 13.50 means 1 USD = 13.50 BWP). Use Closing and Average rate types for the IAS 21 period-end pack below.

Monetary revaluation remesures foreign Asset/Liability balances at the closing rate and posts unrealised FX gain/loss. Translation pack is an Excel-style worksheet: balance sheet × closing, P&L × average, with a CTA plug to the translation reserve.

IAS 29 hyperinflation
Enable IAS 29 hyperinflation restatement under Settings → Currency, then maintain CPI/GPI indices below.

Restate non-monetary items with a general price index. Opening × (Iend/Istart) + movements × (Iend/Iavg); monetary items stay nominal; plug → gain/loss on net monetary position.
